HAMSEGEETHE G.V. IYER

Set in 18th-century Chitradurga, the film follows Bhairavi Venkatasubbaiah, a brilliant but egoistic Carnatic musician. After a series of personal tragedies and a transformative spiritual journey, he attains musical perfection. Ultimately, he chooses self-mutilation over singing for an oppressive ruler, declaring that music is a divine gift, not a slave to power.
