Yuri Semashko (b.1993) was born in Minsk, Belarus, and is now based in Warsaw. Trained as an engineer, he is a self-taught filmmaker working across live action and animation. He has directed several acclaimed short films, including WHEN I WAS A GENERAL (2021), GARBAGE HEAD (2022), and BLOOD AND KARAOKE (2023). His work is marked by a distinctive visual style and an experimental approach to storytelling. THE SWAN SONG OF FEDOR OZEROV is his debut feature film.
