Cédric Klapisch (b.1961), is a French filmmaker based in Paris. After literary studies and film education in Paris and at NYU, he began with short films before directing his debut feature RIENS DU TOUT (1992). He gained wide recognition with LE PÉRIL JEUNE (1994), CHACUN CHERCHE SON CHAT (1996), and UN AIR DE FAMILLE (1996), which won multiple César Awards. International success followed with L’AUBERGE ESPAGNOLE (2002). His films blend social observation, humor, and ensemble storytelling, making him a major figure in contemporary French cinema.
