Nastia Korkia (b.1989) is an independent filmmaker of Russian origin, working between Germany and France. She is trained in directing at the Moscow School of New Cinema, participating in Werner Herzog’s documentary program in Cuba. She earned an MFA from the DocNomads Erasmus Program. Her documentaries and experimental works have screened at Venice, IDFA, Berlin Critics’ Week, DOK Leipzig, True/False, and Sheffield Doc/Fest film festivals. Her documentary feature GES-2 premiered at the 78th Venice FF. Her shorts include DRAMATIC AND MILD (2018), ALMOST SPRING (2021), and DREAMS ABOUT PUTIN (2023). SHORT SUMMER is her debut fiction feature.
