Aristotelis Maragkos (b.1985, Athens) is a writer and director whose work explores obsession, memory and the persistence of the past. His background is rooted in an experimental approach to cinema, often blending animation, documentary elements and unconventional materials. His filmography includes A PORTRAIT (2014), CRUISER (2017), THE TIMEKEEPERS OF ETERNITY (2021) and KAFKA’S COLLECTION OF PORN (2023). His style is defined by formal playfulness and a fascination with time, history and inner worlds. His films have screened internationally at major festivals including Telluride, Locarno and Annecy IFFs, establishing him as a distinctive voice in contemporary experimental filmmaking.
